Soccer Stars Prove They’re Not Done Yet
As the most popular sport in the world, soccer has the unique power to bring all kinds of people together, yet so many are still made to feel like the game isn’t for them because of who they are. With so many people feeling excluded from the sport due to aspects of their personality, DEGREE is teaming up with some of the world’s best players to inspire everyone to push through doubts and move forward on and off the field.
As proud sponsors of the Premier League clubs Chelsea FC and Manchester City, DEGREE is fighting for a world where everyone has the power to move. We are teaming up with top soccer players Thiago Silva, Julian Alvarez and Diego Lainez to prove that despite doubters and criticism, these athletes are Not Done Yet.
DEGREE’s Not Done Yet campaign sets out to show that even the world’s leading soccer players have been made to doubt themselves because of the judgement of others. Through the positive narratives of players who are breaking barriers to move with confidence, we aim to inspire movers around the world to overcome their own doubters and fears. Each of these athletes is sharing their story of how they battled back from criticism to prove they’re Not Done Yet.
38-year-old Thiago Silva is the captain of the Brazilian national team and a star defender for Premier League club Chelsea. Despite being considered amongst the best defenders in the world, Silva is fighting against the perception that he’s too old to continue playing at the top level.
Argentina and Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez is repeatedly confronting social media mockery of his regular substitute appearances for Man City and proving to everyone he’s worthy of his shirt.
At just 22-year-old Mexico national player Diego Lainez is already forced to deal with the pressure of being a young talented player entering a big league with high expectations.
DEGREE’s commitment to inspiring everyone with the confidence to move starts with its deodorants and antiperspirants, which eliminate sweat and odor as a barrier to movement. The Not Done Yet campaign highlights the benefits of DEGREE’s revolutionary 72hr Advanced range with Body Heat Activated® technology. It aims to bring superior nonstop protection sweat and odor protection that keeps working harder than regular antiperspirants, allowing you to move with confidence.
We all have limits, even the world’s leading soccer players. And fear of judgment can’t make us all doubt our ability to push through. Society equally limits us, telling us who can and can’t enjoy the benefits of movement. But if we show we’re Not Done Yet, we can fight for a world where everyone has the confidence to move more, on and off the field.
